This week I want to write about what attracts readers to keep engaged with websites and bloggers.
Human beings are about emotions and thoughts and when you get in contact with the online world, that is exactly what you are looking for. The virtual world is not as superficial as it seems. The goal of the promotional tool called Social Media is "to engage" with the readers.
But how to reach this goal?
Bloggers and writers create emotions and mindsets into their audience by sharing personal experiences. By doing so, the people can empathize and feel inspired or motivated to do new things and adopt moods.
It is a good idea to add a human touch when your website or blog has a personal purpose; when your industry is about services or when you are targeting younger audiences.
If your industry is about selling services, the customers or potential customers must live experiences. Thus, sharing personal experiences from others can help to understand what is the service about and connect with the brand or company. Personal communication must be fresh and have informal language.
By contrast, not all the websites, blogs or companies should add personal experiences to their content or tend to do so. There are some industries that require etiquette rules and formal language. For example websites that contain confidential and private data.

YES! I like how you say, "Bloggers and writers create emotions and mindsets into their audience by sharing personal experiences." Readers feel they have a connection when they read about personal content, and it really shows when you are passionate. I love the way you wrote this. Very well said.
ReplyDeleteThank you Abraham, I appreciate your comment.
DeleteI like how you added an apropos image to your blog post about engaging the reader. I think the image and the bold words are effective tools to evoke emotions and engage the reader when used well which you clearly have a talent for! I also agree there certain industries where personal content would be inappropriate and create distrust.
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura for read my post and comment about.
DeleteWow I love your insights on "Getting personal on business blog" I find all social media so time consuming, I am overwhelmed with just the day to day posting. My work is to learn how to manage my time and get more organized and maybe I can be be more efficient in the social media world. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Fraser! I agree with you that social media is time consuming. However, I am writing about my personal experiences because I want to develop my writing skills as I am ESL (English as a Second Language) and I believe writing about what you know more or you are interested about it makes it easier.
